ABOUT THIS ROLE
St. Michael’s is hiring a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client’s financial management office.  You will be in a senior client-facing role that will benefit from your leadership, problem solving, and expertise with the processes and systems used to support financial management operations across DHS. Our core value of Excellence in Reputation will be important in this role as you will be responsible for maintaining the systems and tools our clients use daily to complete their duties as financial management experts supporting multiple offices and departments.

LOCATION
Primarily Remote – Candidate should be located in the Greater Washington, D.C. Metro Area with the ability to go to client site when required.

WHO YOU ARE
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain or currently possess a federal Public Trust Clearance.
  • Have a Master’s Degree (or Bachelor’s Degree with an additional 8 years of experience) in a related area and 8+ years’ direct experience in specific field, with 5+ years’ experience leading and managing teams.
  • Have extensive knowledge and expertise in SharePoint 365, Access/Excel Database Management, and Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with a group or independently.
  • Ability to read/interpret management policy, regulations, and directives.
  • History of transitioning government organizations from Access/Excel database tools to modern data management and visualization tools is preferred.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and executes various routine and emergent financial systems activities or assignments.
  • Strong skillset in Federal IT terminology and reporting requirements, understanding of IT infrastructure, financial systems capabilities, modeling and/or analytics, communication, teamwork, leadership, and motivation.
  • Knowledge in Budget, Revenue, Financial Management and Systems, and Modeling and/or Analytics.
  • Completing requested deliverables, and control daily activities by constantly measuring, evaluating, and correcting daily, routine, and emerging activities.
  • Providing constant status reports on all deliverables requested by the Division Directors, Assistant Directors, and Senior leadership.
  • Ensuring proper and constant coordination is established with FMO staff with responsibilities over financial management systems for Revenue. Additionally, routinely interact with client IT staff on all items related to FMO’s responsibilities and/or oversight with systems used for its Revenue efforts.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SharePoint, specifically how various databases are linked with SharePoint for reporting and dashboarding capabilities.  Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly as they arise.

Compensation: Salary range $140K to $170K
