ABOUT THIS ROLE
St. Michael’s is gathering candidates for various surge support positions for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client’s financial management office.  We are searching for candidates from All Experience Levels (from Junior to Subject Matter Expert) with Federal Accounting Experience.

You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your leadership, problem solving, and expertise with the processes and systems used to support financial management operations across DHS.  Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will work side by side with government personnel and a team of financial management experts providing support across our client’s multiple financial offices.

LOCATION
Primarily Remote – Candidate must be able to report to the client site located in the Washington, DC area when required

WHO YOU ARE
  • Junior Level: Bachelor’s Degree in related area and 1 – 3 years of related experience.
  • Mid-Level:  Bachelor’s Degree in related area and 3 – 10 years of related experience.
  • Senior Level: Master’s Degree (or Bachelor’s with additional 8 years of experience) in related area, 8+ years direct experience in specific field, and 5+ years’ experience leading and managing teams.
  • Subject Matter Expert:  Master’s Degree (or Bachelor’s with additional 8 years of experience) in related area, 20+ years of experience in field directly related to role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with a group or independently.
  • Ability to read/interpret management policy, regulations, and directives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint.
  • The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance or currently have an active Public Trust Clearance (or higher).


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop processes to identify, and coordinate as requested by client, with other offices to document requirements and prepare project management documentation as appropriate for a comprehensive billing system.
  • Coordinate with GSA on inventory discrepancies, monthly billing data, monthly adjustments, and other related issues.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on monthly billing file questions and other related issues Follow, maintain, update, and provide efficiencies for the Monthly Billing File and associated Checklist.
  • Develop and maintain a revenue management guide, including standardized methodologies, SOPs, and tools that can be implemented organization wide.
  • Deliver an assessment of client resources including cash vs. authority and a recommendation for cash management procedures. This analysis shall include accounts receivable cancellation thresholds, and the amount of cash carryover required to sustain operations each month and each fiscal year.

Compensation: Salary starting from $50k to $170k (depending on experience level)
